StaringPosted by Jan (Bruges, Belgium) on 24 June 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. On the left hand side a window where bright sunlight was coming through. At the right hand sight, no windows at all, only the light from an open door. At first I thought I would need some additional light to brighten a bit the room. At the end, I tried without additional lighting and I'm very pleased with the result. Although the graffiti on the wall looks better in color, I've turned this one to b&w and enhanced the contrast to make the portrait stronger. Last friday, I had to go to hospital for some surgical intervention: a partial meniscectomy of the left knee. As far as the surgery is concerned, everything went fine. I was the first one on the friday schedule. They removed, as planned, a small part of the meniscus. I'm already able to bend the knee to 110°, though still 'running around' with crutches. Since friday, it's a bit swollen, feeling a bit warm. Tomorrow I'm going back to work. From today onwards, it's physiotherapy time... :(
